Web Design Goals
Honey Doughnuts and Goodies is a local café in Deep Cove, BC specializing in freshly made food options, especially the world-famous mouthwatering doughnuts! Honey’s wanted to redesign their website to elevate the brand and highlight what makes them unique amongst several other restaurants in that area. The website had to feel inviting, simple, clean and modern while showcasing the food and vibe of the café. It had to please a mixed demographic of locals and tourists alike, wanting to relax and enjoy traditional comfort food. The café is nestled perfectly in the heart of deep cove and the website needed to reflect the beautiful surroundings and attract customers to grow their business.
Website Design Overview
This was a collaboration between Erica Houston for the design and myself for the development. We chose WordPress as the platform and the website has been custom-built to incorporate all the design elements fully. The website has an upcoming events list and Honey’s wanted the ability to edit them and add new ones easily. We incorporated an events module into the website so they could edit it directly through a content management system. The entire website’s content including the slideshow and the menu items are editable. The website is mobile friendly and looks great on all devices.
